Hi, I’m Shanna,
writer & creative strategist.
I’ve been a professional writer and business owner for more than a decade. I work with entrepreneurs, businesses, and nonprofits that are committed to creating sustainable and useful products or services.
I love working with creative people who are ready to refine their businesses’ voice and vision to communicate effectively (and profitably) with their audiences.
Chances are, I’d love working with you.
How I Can Help
I can help you find your voice, communicate your message, and fine-tune your brand to be in alignment with your values and your bottom line.
I can transform your ideas into fresh copy that will speak to your people—the clients or constituents you want to reach. Or, I can polish your existing copy from diamond-in-the-rough to shiny gem.
Do you need a bio, a blurb, a blog post, or a full copy deck for your website? Perhaps you just need some strategy and clarity about your brand and how to best represent it. If so, I’m your gal.
Providing knockout content and creative brand strategy are just a few of the ways that I can work with you. As a small, but responsive boutique agency, I can also provide you with design and website creation services. If I don’t do it, someone on my stellar team does.
Let’s explore how we can take your business from lukewarm to wow—

My guiding forces are compassion, kindness, and truth. I am a seeker; I find inspiration and beauty in the natural world, and I believe in being a good steward of our planet and all its living beings.
I also believe success is more than just dollars and cents. It’s about living and working with intention for a life that’s both satisfying and lucrative.
My vast and diverse experience—from business management to writing, nutrition and health, to the wild and wooly world of fashion—has helped me see the big picture without losing sight of the details.
I’ve worked with a variety of people (the famous and not-so-famous) to help them build great brands and to communicate their messages with confidence and precision.
Methods I Employ:
- I listen to you. Really, I do.
- I research and ruminate.
- I craft and create.
I draw on my experiences of operating a successful writing and consulting business (and twenty-plus years in the traditional business world) to bring you innovative ideas that move your business forward.
I get cozy with what you do, rolling up my sleeves to help you uncover what makes you and your business or nonprofit unique. I am passionate—I love what I do, and it’s contagious. When we work together, my passion carries over to your business or project. We’ll make a great team.

You want your brand and copy to be in alignment—with one another and the face you want to show to the world. You want to push your business past its current boundaries—and you want it to be fun. You want your copy to match your values–and you want your sales to match your goals.
Now it’s your turn. Let’s do this. Drop me a line and we’ll make things happen.
My team and I offer a suite of creative services.
These services include: copywriting, content development, brand identity, marketing, ghost blogging, social media strategy, web design, business development, nonprofit services, and more (so much more).
Why are we better than other boutique agencies?
Because we are focused, nimble, and responsive. We keep our egos in check to deliver the best product for you—our client. With our collective, diverse backgrounds, we’ve got serious muscle to get the job done. We can take care of all your communication, branding, graphic, and marketing needs.
We don’t, however, do windows.
Kelly Caceres | senior copywriter & editor.
Kelly has never considered doing anything other than writing.
With an obsession for detail and pride in her work, she’s the person you want writing and editing your copy.
Kelly previously worked at the United States Tennis Association, The Active Network, and the nonprofit Jewish Family Service of San Diego. In these positions she managed projects and wrote copy for the web, press releases, social media, promotional pieces, manuals, sales pitches, and more.
Kelly and I collaborate on a variety of copywriting and editing projects. She has a knack for strengthening the clients’ trademark voice—and she makes copy easy to understand without sacrificing style. She’s also instrumental in the grant writing work we do.
She is experienced with WordPress, social media marketing, and knowing the limit of Facebook dog photos one can post before annoying everyone.
Kelly has a BA in Professional and Technical Writing. She is the creator of a blog, podcast, and book about Highly Sensitive People. She is influenced by her love of exploration and trying new things. Kelly is located in sunny San Diego.
Sophia Daly | creative director.
Sophia has killer design chops. No lie.
She designed this beautiful website and many others. As founder and creative principal of Sophia Daly Design, she has more than 20 years of experience with agencies and high-tech corporate environments. Sophia’s vast experience gives her a unique vantage point on graphic design and marketing. Her approach is distinct and fresh, her style: no-nonsense.
Prior to founding Sophia Daly Design, she worked as Art Director & Designer for both Vytek and Digital Asylum, creating brand identity packages, web & interactive design, and marketing and communications collateral.
Sophia was Lead Graphic User Interface Designer for Kyocera Wireless, where she developed top-notch interface design and iconography for a variety of mobile applications and handsets. Sophia has worked with Adidas, Bell Atlantic, Daewoo Motors, Fox Interactive, GE, HP, The Kennedy Space Center, Samsung, Microsoft, Warner Brothers, and Qualcomm, to name a few.
Sophia and I collaborate on web and branding projects for a variety of clients: entrepreneurs, businesses, nonprofits, and others. With Sophia on the case, magic happens. She provides the visuals to my words (and vice-versa). Together, we bring the best branding, design, and content to our clients.
Sophia has a BS in Industrial Design from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA. Her work is influenced by her keen eye and passion for art, photography, architecture, and travel. Sophia lives in Portland, OR.

She volunteers regularly with San Diego nonprofit organizations such as Collaboration Kitchen, and Olivewood Gardens, and is a regular contributor to Edible San Diego. She is passionate about promoting wellness and lifestyle by being an advocate for health and sustainability.
